About People & Profiles

Here the person is the exhibit. This category gathers products and businesses whose main job is to present an individual: who they are, what they have made and where to find them. Some are written as careful biographies. Others are plain, quick routes to a handful of destinations.

Novara Launch is edited as a gallery, so we ask of each entry what a visitor would ask of a wall label: who made this, what is it, and why stand in front of it? A good page in this room answers those questions at once, in the person's own register, without padding.

Four subcategories divide the room by purpose. Founder profiles tell a company's story through its maker. Personal websites are a home on the web. Portfolios hang finished work. Link pages point outward. Choose the one that matches what the page does first, then browse, filter and vote as you see fit.

People & Profiles: questions answered

What belongs in People & Profiles?
Products and businesses whose central purpose is to present a person or their body of work. That covers founder stories, personal sites, portfolios and link hubs. A tool for building such pages fits better elsewhere, unless the listing itself is someone's own page.
How do I pick between portfolios and personal websites?
Ask what the visitor sees first. If it is a curated body of finished work, choose portfolios. If it is a wider home with writing, notes, a biography and perhaps work as one part, choose personal websites. Both are fine; pick the closer fit.
How do I get a page listed in this category?
Go to /submit and paste the website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. You choose one main category at submission, included free, so pick the subcategory that fits best.
Can I place a listing in more than one subcategory?
Your main category is included free. If the page genuinely spans two purposes, a paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5. Keep the main choice for what the page does first.
How are listings ordered on the page?
Newest listings come first by default. Visitors can instead sort by community votes, and votes can never be bought. Filters narrow the list across the category and all four subcategories, so you can compare like with like.
