About Developer Tools
Developer Tools gathers the instruments of the trade: the things programmers pick up in order to build, test, ship and run software. Each piece on this wall is a product or business made for that audience, from a small library to a full platform. Like a museum label, every listing says what the thing is, who made it and what it is for, without ornament.
The newest launches hang first. Visitors can instead sort by community votes, and those votes can never be bought. Filters narrow the wall by subcategory. Every listing sits in one main category, chosen when it is submitted and included free, so a tool shown here is here because its maker judged it a tool for builders. Walk the four rooms below, or take the whole floor and let the week's arrivals set the order.

Developer Tools: questions answered
- What belongs in Developer Tools?
- Products and businesses whose main buyer or user writes code or runs software: libraries, services, command-line utilities, platforms and hosted tooling. If the chief audience is a general office team or consumers, a different category will frame the work more accurately.
- How do I choose between the subcategories?
- Pick the room that matches the problem the tool solves first. A service you call from code suits APIs and SDKs; one that checks work suits Testing and QA. Deployment belongs in DevOps, storage in Databases and backend. Publicly shared code now has its own category, Open Source.
- How do I get my tool listed here?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, then you check and edit every field before anything goes live. A paid launch costs $5; a free listing joins a queue of about 6-8 weeks.
- How are listings ordered on this page?
- Newest first by default, so recent launches get the front of the wall. Visitors can switch to sorting by community votes. Votes cannot be bought, so that order reflects what people chose to back. The page includes products from all four subcategories, with filters.
- Can a tool appear in more than one category?
- Each listing has exactly one main category, chosen at submission and included free. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories, useful when a product honestly spans, say, testing and deployment. Choose the main category by what the tool does first.
