Using the API and MCP connection
Access Novara Launch over REST or invite an AI assistant to search and manage your listings.
Updated
On the wall this week: open access
Two ways to build with Novara Launch. The REST API lives at /api/v1, described in full at /api/v1/openapi.json. An MCP server at /mcp lets Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients search the current exhibition, read individual listings and—with your permission—draft and manage your own.
Signing in
Use OAuth (your AI assistant will open a sign-in page here) or a personal API key from /account/developers. Keys appear once only; we keep only the hash. Choose the method that fits your workflow.
What you can do
AI assistants connected over MCP can search launches and read full listing details. With the right permissions, they can also draft new listings and edit your own. Voting stays on the wall: the API does not offer voting, and community order cannot be changed by code.
Keeping order
Rate limits and daily quotas apply. When payment is needed, the API returns a checkout link—all transactions happen here on this site, never elsewhere. This keeps the exhibition honest: money does not affect the order you see.
Questions people ask
- Which AI assistants can I connect?
- Claude, ChatGPT and any other client that supports MCP. Visit /mcp to connect.
- Where do I find my API key?
- Sign in at /account/developers. Your key shows once; save it somewhere safe. OAuth is also available if you prefer not to use a key.
- Can the API change the order of launches?
- No. Voting shapes the exhibition. The API can read, search and manage listings, but order always stays with the community on the wall.
